Baking potatoes are now $1.60/lb. That means I'm paying $3 to $4 for ONE potato. I can't even afford potatoes anymore 😮😮😮😮
Im 60. Love sea salt, pink salt, so why did they throw the potatoes away after absorbing salt in soup? That would be my favorite! And my blood pressure is fine! Maybe because I cook, and no junk food
The soups are wonderful and quite filling. If available, a bit of bouillon increases the depth of flavor.
This video is a beautiful tribute to the creativity and love in our grandparents' kitchens. What a powerful lesson in making the most of what you have.

It is incredible how sweet potato bisque, once a cheap filling meal, is now a fancy restaurant dish. It shows the timeless value of these recipes.

Does anybody make potato candy anymore? My grandmother made it every Christmas along with all sorts of other candies…the potato candy was one of my favorites, next to grandma's honey chocolate chip cookies.
I am definitely going to make the potato candy, I already showed my family that part of this video and they are as intrigued as I am! Thank you for posting these videos they are relaxing nostalgic and surprising! ❤️
I still fry potato peels, great snack, saves money, and much better tasting than the store bought chips.
