I have that exact cookie book and use it all the time 😊
Cherry coconut bars are the best!
I still have that cookie cookbook. I remember making cookies from this book when I was just a kid.
Oh my goodness!!! My copy of that book is a mess!! I used it all the time as a child and then as a mom. The spiral bound cover is off, and page 19 with Ethel’s Sugar Cookies went missing for a while. The book now lives at my daughter’s house, in a cellophane sleeve, with all of the best recipes stained with ingredients and food coloring. I asked my middle son just yesterday, what he wanted for Christmas. His reply was, “Cookies.”
Thank you for this little bit of nostalgia 🧡
And Do Not Double the Candy Cane cookie recipe!!
I still have my Grandma's copy of this book. She called it her "Cooky Booky". I'm now 72 and this brings back good memories. Now if only I liked to bake.
I can always rell if snickerdoodles are made with the Betty Crocker recipe. I have my mom's, copied onto a recipe card from her old early 1950s cookbook.
Oh, gosh, I was just thinking about these last night!
I still have this cookie book and let me tell you they are
some of the best cookies I’ve ever made
The narrator makes it sound like Betty Crocker was a person. Betty Crocker is a company. There was never any such person called Betty Crocker, which was very disappointing to me when I found that out some years ago.
Candy cane cookies!!! Good Christmas memories!
