I would help my mom make 100 fruit cakes. They were given as gifts, including to our teachers, but mostly we stored them in the attic to eat year round. One time mom sent my brother to the attic to get a fruitcake for dinner and it was discovered that mice had gotten into many of the fruit cakes. Mom just cut a little bit off and we had to eat the rest of those fruit cakes.
it was my Great Grandma and my Grandma and my Aunt , that made both Thanks Giving and Christmas dinners.
