If you can tolerate it try ground turkey or ground chicken instead of ground beef. Aldi has a frozen package for only 2.29.

Some Indian meals are very budget friendly. Like steamed rice and lentils. rice and beans, rice cooked with frozen peas, caulifower and diced potato
at this point aldi is cheaper than walmart.
