I've only used this method when putting my cooler outside in freezing temperatures. It never occurred to me to put the cooler in my freezer. I guess it's because the cooler I have is to large for my freezer. I think I'll be purchasing a smaller cooler so I can have clear ice in the summer time. Thanks for the tip!
