You know what’s crazy now…New York is taxing for digital products. Insane, I found out when I paid my ChatGPT. Next thing New York will charge tax for breathing 🙄🤣
Great video here Wendy. A few things to note just as a way of adding to the conversation:
One) The thing about digital products is that they work well if you have distribution (such as an email list, or an audience that cares what you have to say) but they don't work as well when you have no distribution. It's more of a process to build that distribution at that point. Not to say you shoulnd't build that infrastructure of digital products, it's just that you won't be done at just creating the infrastruction.
Two) Really cool tip about affiliate marketing. The downside there is that you don't control the commission structure or the deal in general. That's up to the product vendor. And it can be changed at any time. Still a great way to supplement your income.
Three) Youtube is getting like 30 billion visitors a month, so I agree with you 100%. It's a great way to go about building an audience which can act as a distribution network for you. But I would add that it can take a while, and you would really do well to try and put people on an email list from your Youtube channel.
Four) Agreed about memberships. One thing I'd say about this is that I find it far easier to convert existing customers and warm traffic to membership clubs than cold traffic. SO it comes back to the email list as a big priority. The membership sells well in the funnel of lower ticket products.
Nice job on your membership club earning 11k a month. Fantastic work!
Five) Great tipp on the MRR. Pesonally I license PLR content pretty regularly to others. I specialize in human writtetn email content, and much as you have said, it has been very lucrative for me ove rthe years. I will say that AI is really starting to affect that business, though.
