Omgoodness what is the beef in the creamed chipped beef? Was it corned beef?
What happened to a lot of people in the US… I see a lot of videos of people putting a bunch of horrible things in a dish and calling it "Food" America used to have good, appetizing food and now it looks like garbage.
My mom was the queen of one pan hamburger meals. Occasionally she would heat up a canned ham for Sunday dinner, or make a beef stew. She budgeted 1 lb of hamburger to feed everyone. I was born in 1956.
My kids raised in the 1970s and 80s were fed a good number of the meals shown in this video as well as other meal stretching recipes. In fact, I still use oatmeal in my meatloaf, so saying "Nobody cooks these anymore" is very inaccurate. But a lot of it was Mom's doing so I thank her for teaching me how to get the most bang for our food buck!!
I'm trying to find the recipe for this frozen strawberry (both strawberry flavor AND fresh strawberries) dessert thing that also has a crumbly sweetish crust/bottom,. .
Chipped beef came in a small jar. It had its own special flavor . In the 1970s, I changed it to ground beef and diced onions with a white gravy.
Corned beef hash wasy dad's go-to dish he brought back from the army. We always had it when his turn to cook🩵
The person soooo many moons ago that first said, "i want to cook a cow's liver" should be drawn and quartered!😂
Wow, at age 72 I've never heard of any of these!
Darling…SOS was a military dish that used hamburger. That's what we were served in the Army.
