The Korean Peninsula today is divided into two, but there was a time when this peninsula was divided into many states. Over the course of time, and besieged by expansive transient dynasties outside of this modest piece of land, many clans and tribes overran their lands. Of all those malicious and greedy potential overlords, none managed to prevail.

  1. Joseon was close to the Ming, while Joseon treated Yoejin(later ist named Qing) as barbarian subjugation and made them give tributes, and Joseon continued by interacting with the Ming.

It is said that Goryeo's boundary was the Amur River in the distance, and the Liaodong Peninsula and the Shandong Peninsula. As a result, the Mongols invaded Goryeo dozens of times, and the border was finally drawn. After the Battle of Ganghwa Island, they were conquered by the Yuan until they were restored by King Gongmin's conquest of Liaodong. So, Goryeo confronted the Ming and Liaodong Conquest, and now Goryeo marks the founding of the Joseon Dynasty. From the beginning, the Ming and Joseon Dynasty had to unite the Northern Yuan forces as common enemies. When the Ming informed them of the establishment of the Cheolryeongwi(it was near of Syenyang 심양), Joseon accepted it as it was and made an envoy, using the Sanhaegwan as its border.

Then Yoejin(만주족) belonged to the entire Joseon Dynasty.

So, in the early Joseon Dynasty, the 야인토벌(barbarian conquest) unfolded wherever in the Annals 실록. It continued until the middle of the Joseon Dynasty. The Joseon Dynasty did not stop during the war of Imran(임진왜란) and covered the northern territories to the Amur River enough to conquer the Yoejin. The Qing Dynasty left Manchuria and ruled China, so the Han Chinese couldn't get anywhere near it, and then Joseon almost took over it. Instead of the conquer of it, was the Yoejin allowed as independent country and their tribute for Joseon is over. Joseon, Qing, and Russia clashed with each other over the Amur River before the fall of Beijing at the end of the Joseon Dynasty, until then Joseon, which led the Qing Dynasty and the Japan, also served as the leader of East Asia.

It was the only Joseon against Russia, and the Qing Dynasty later signed a treaty to draw a border line.

Then, Europe and Russia broke down the order. Russia crawled over Joseon and took over the Maritime Province with the events of 1860 when Europe toppled the Qing Dynasty and took over Beijing. Joseon is now at a crossroads. It is not yet before the appearance of the regent, but it is not until the regent appears, but rather whether to defend the northern territories or to retreat to Peninsula Joseon, because of the regent's policy was the Maritime Province given up and Manchuria was jeopardized. After ten years of isolation(쇄국정치 1864-1873), it becomes a peninsula Joseon and a battlefield for great powers. After being attacked by France in 1866 and U.S in1871 , in 1875-6 was ruined by the Japanese Invasion.

This happened after Joseon, the kingdom of Seowon (confucian church), was destroyed by the regent.

That's why we ourselves fell into internal strife. After that, the last opportunity to unite as a Joseon-Russian alliance in the Russo-Japanese War, as in fact the first World War, was taken over by the Japanese wartime mobilization order through the Declaration of Neutrality and erased on the map as a subordinate country to the Japanese after the defeat of Russia.
