Would be interesting to get your take on the Jack Ma style build in silence vs new school build in public approach.
Great perspective
Ok see you in 2 years 😂😂😂
100% agree, people are full of endless and often utterly useless opinions.
I am listening to you telling me not to listen to people who do startups. Which I'm assuming is yourself. So I will not listen to you.
This is why enterprise IT at most non-tech centric companies are garbage. Because they listen to the stupid consultants and sales people.
.
Interesting. I've always thought that other founders are a good sounding board. You can listen, but that doesn't mean you're obligated to take their advice.
If you have challenges filtering what other founders are saying then you'll likely also have challenges filtering what customers are saying. The problem is not the other founders. Work on the problem. 😂😂
I mean I think this depends heavily on how easily you're influenced by what someone else thinks you should do. I'm a founder and I can tell when someone is giving suggestions and valuable alternative perspective OR if someone just likes telling me all the great things they did and then try to tell me I'm doing things wrong.
At the moment, instead of listening to people who like telling me I'm doing the wrong thing, I just talk to all of my future customers and see what they say and think. This could also be the wrong strategy ("i.e. customers don't know what they want) but I'm going to learn either way.
Talking to people in the entrepreneurship/startup scene is usually more helpful for the connections. A lot of business is to do with who you know.
