I thought my butter had the right consistency to start with and I beat it up for 5 minutes as per the recipe but it did not fluff up. I beat it up another 5 minutes and still could not get the right consistency. Not sure why?
This is just plain old American buttercream. It's definitely not the best, but it is the easiest. My preferred buttercream is Swiss Meringue Buttercream.
