If you dont have the mount plate, it won't work at all?
The set up procedure doesn’t find the device
Problems setting it up
This item is garbage. "Nest" doorbell but won't connect to Nest, constantly goes into "Idle" mode, often shows "Live video unavailable" error message, video can only be seen in portrait mode, (tall up and down) as opposed to landscape mode (wide, side to side) making the effective viewing 50% less that older models.
The so-called "Nest" product is simply not as good as older wired models. Yuck.
What is the little black wire for?
do I have to buy a monitor for me to hear the doorbell inside?? I thought I could make the doorbell "ring" in my google minis and soundbar…???
