Thats a good question: "what do I want out of this country?" I want ME out of this f**** boring shithouse. Unfortunately it's not so easy to get a residency permit for the nice places on earth. So I have to stay and pay….
35% of Brit’s have German DNA.😂😂😂😂
The guy who said "the tax office, where they just send out letters and say this is how much you have to pay" for sure doesn't understand how taxes work in Germany. They don't just send out letters telling you how much you have to pay unless you don't file your taxes, which you are obligated to. If you don't tell them then they do what is called a "Schätzung" which is kind of an estimation of the taxes you owe. If you don't correct it, it's our own damn problem (and thats not really different than anywhere else). Also they can't just deduct money from your bank account. There are still laws in Germany. Your money is your money, even if you owe it to the tax office. They can't just deduct it, they don't own the bank. They also don't have access to your bank. If they "just deduct it" that means there were months of sending you letters asking you to adhere to german tax laws and file your fucking taxes and months telling you to pay them before they can take legal steps to "just deduct it from your bank account".
MovShot is a global entertainment platform mainly based on micro-short dramas. I am the agent responsible for our region in Germany.
There's also a lot of discouragement in the general society. In 2009 in university, I had the idea for a patreon like service to support musicians and artists (before patreon existed). Everyone I pitched it to (school, family, university, friends) told me that noone would use something like that and that its a really bad idea. Like, everyone. Not even a jokingly "lol, yea maybe ask if someone gives you money to try it".
