Makes one wonder, coded information like DNA came about all by itself 🤔even more mind boggling to think in terms of some computer program that came into existence as a result of randomness, that directs such complex functions. Organized complex information coming out of nothing, mind is blown 🤯

I find this all slightly amusing, as I read "The Selfish Gene" when it was first published in 1976; I was in college as a psychology major, and evolutionary psychology wasn't a thing yet (grew out of sociobiology). Mostly now it's 'post hoc' and not well respected, but there are some interesting tested predictions out there (e.g., which grandmother will you feel closest to?).
Hypothesis upon hypothesis, so much hope and faith for these assumptions. Abiogenesis has never been observed, and is likely never to be…We should be careful in what we embrace as truth. Please also check Dr James Tour series and challenge to all top leading scientists on the subject.

i mean no offence, no harm, no disrespect to anyone, but
if the whole point is We're vessels for the replicators
or the gene thing
then do this part of evolution have the answer for existence of homosexuality ?
i mean obvi there is not good mean to transfer genes or train in any sense so
like how or where does this arrive from if it have no meaning of transferring of genes or trait that guaranty the survival or an individual ?
oh don't worry we have plenty of selfish individuals, just look at billionaires, CEOs, Cops, corrupted politicians; it's all over us
Survival of the selfish means it's in your selfish interest to ensure that others like yourself survive
There are plenty of foods that smell bad and are good to eat
Why not spend time on real science for the future instead of trying to imagine our past
