I knew it was suicide. The suicide rate is jumping but also if you go back and look at Chef’s including Anthony Bourdain, especially tv Chefs on competitive cooking shows the list is huge. I’ve dealt with a lot of suicides but I have never heard of anyone dying from antihistamines and amphetamines even with alcohol. It’s not like taking opiates or benzodiazepines which depress your breathing and central nervous system ultimately causing cardiac arrest. OD’ing on stimulants mostly causes liver damage, heart disease and hearing loss but if you do die it’s not an immediate thing.
So sad a great vibrant chef
How can they know this was not an accident??? She may have realized that she was too sedated and took amphetamine and got into the shower to revive herself.
