There are not that many people in this world with warm undertone to make every product nowadays warm. I don’t understand why. I’m Slavic , most Slavic people i works with are neutral. But western companies still try to convince us that we are true warm
Fascinating! I tend to pick up my lipsticks from Pat McGrath (still plenty of cool shades) or in Europe, or from goth-focused brands. And now I know why!
I knew I wasn’t crazy! And you can say the color changes over time all you want but why are my mom’s, grandma’s, and great grandma’s old lipsticks the same as in their photos? The new formulas are so orange-y!
Even some of the nail polishes I still have going back 40 years ago have changed if the modern counterpart still exists. They morph the colors for whatever reason & think no one will notice. Many times, tho, they end up eliminating the exact thing out of the color that made it special. The same holds for perfumes, too…scent profiles get changed as ingredients become scarce, are banned or a synthetic version comes into use…because it’s cheaper. The fragrance is no longer the same.😢
It’s the Kardashian-era self tanning craze making everything orange
I wonder if there’s anyway you could McGyver up a shade match somehow. Using modern lipsticks or pigments- could be fun

Thank you for cracking the code on why I cannot stand a single modern lip shade. I have been ruined by early 2000’s makeup and it’s all gone now.

Now feeling like I’m NOT crazy thank you!
I noticed this with my Rosie nudes I had a cover girl and loreal and the undertones are nothing like the older versions
