Unfortunately the promise of lifechanging $gains will keep people trying meme and altcoins. It's a huge gamble but lets face it the population and in particular the male population is addicted to gambling. Also it if someone puts $1000 into BTC even it going to $300K is not going to make much difference to their lives & yet it is still risky buying at this stage of the cycle where it can dump & you end up with way less than your $1K (not great risk reward). BTC is no longer for the retail investor unless they have wealth already and are happy to take the manipulation risk. Ben the question is, if you had no assets currently & $1K would you buy BTC? So if it's not a good time to enter the BTC market who is actually going to keep pumping the price? It's not worth the risk until the next bear market.
