I don't think Betsy died on Feb 11. I think she was too sick after Feb 11 to respond or send emails but I don't think she died that day. She was last seen shopping at several stores on Feb 11, her last stop being around 5:30pm. Are we to believe she was coherent and well enough to shop until late afternoon and drive home on Feb 11 and then die later that evening? I think she was ill for a few days after Feb 11 (which explains why she didn't respond to emails) but was still strong enough to tend to Gene for a few days. She was still taking her thyroid medication and sought to do so when she collapsed in the bathroom. I believe this would have been between Feb 12-Feb 15. Too weak to get up, she eventually succumbed to her illness. Another red flag is Gene's condition. If Gene was in an advanced stage of dementia, it's impossible that he was by himself for a whole week without food or water. He wouldn't even have had the mental coherence to get a glass of water. Also if he was that poor in health, why did Betsy leave him alone on Feb 11 while she shopped? The coroner did not say Betsy died on Feb 11. She said Feb 11 was the last day they have any evidence she was alive. Big difference.
Do you know how much mice pooh and urine you have to be exposed to to get hantavirus, on top of the mice that carry that aren't even in the area .. miss me with that .
And gene had his sunglasses and cane .. he was coming or going somewhere.. not really signs of Alzheimer's or dementia to me ..
And loved pets arent locked in their cages just because they have surgery . Smh. That doesn't pass the smell test
Weather your family has money or not, we should all care for each other and not let things like this happen. 😢
This kind of stuff happens all the time we just don't hear about it 😞
Sounds like a cover-up
This explanation still doesn’t add up. The scene in the bathroom with pills scattered everywhere, the space heater, the dog caged in the closet looks like a staged scene as does Hackman on the floor with cane and sun glasses. A close friend of mine, who had advanced Alzheimer couldn't be left alone for 5 minutes because he would wander off outside and wouldn't know how to get back home. Hackmann wouldn't have been able to figure out how or what to eat, hygiene, and more. Does that virus cause a person to fall out on the floor dead? The daughter insisting that it was carbon monoxide. Is there a drug that mimics that virus? They can tidy this up to calm the public down, but, I smell a rat (pun intended).
Very sad
My father just died a few days ago from Alzhimers/Dementia. My dad was hi-end facility under hospice care…he did not know who his own children were or how to dress himself… so it's more than likely Gene did not know his wife had passed. Its beyond sad all the way around. Dementia is especially heartbreaking to watch someone you love go through such an unfair disease.

Gene went through valentine's day without noticing wife's death. Definitely alzheimers.
