As a Hrithik fan, I keep wondering what kind of authenticity he’s trying to seek now, especially when this was his act at the beginning of his career. He made me cry with him in this scene, that’s how powerful his performance was back then.
Acting coach, developing a backstory for a fictional character all of that feels unnecessary when you look at his early body of work. Those performances already showed such incredible range and emotional depth. It’s only in recent times that he’s started to feel a bit monotonous (can’t really blame him though he’s surrounded by lazy directors, choreographers, stylists, everything). He seriously needs to go back and watch his own earlier movies.
