  1. I saw this movie when I was 11 years old. It's probably why I am so screwed up. Lol. My step dad took me to see it and said that his drill instructors were VERY much like this when he was in tht military.

  2. R. Lee Ermey should have won an Oscar for this perfmance. He was indeed a real drill instructor in the Marines for those who don't know. I also believe that this entire scene was improvised by Ermey.

  3. R Lee Ermey was an actual drill Sargent. When he heard the movie was being made he wanted the part so he went and essentially stole the part. He was genuine and convincing. 80 pages of ad-libbed dialog were added to the script.

  4. watching pudgy losers lose their minds over some real world dialogue of 'all being equally worthless' until essentially earning their place within the military along with brothers/sisters regardless of their background epitomizes the current state of society tbh lol
