Being an unaware opiate addict has to have had a role in his horrible choice of Commodus as his successor, and cruel indifference to a religious minority [Christianity] suffering intolerance and persecution. Both calamitous choices caused horrible injuries to many. A besmirched stoic needing more candid scrutiny, not worship.
