My grandfather watched that movie after he returned home from Vietnam and he walked out during the showing saying he doesn't want to think about people he killed rising up to kill him and since that movie he never watched a movie ever again all the way up to his death in 2023 which he requested to be cremated because of that movie.
This was filmed near Pittsburgh in Evans City, Pennsylvania. I grew up in the area and it's a small pride that the zombie movie first started here.
