Hand sanitizer is a household essential, butit can also produce a flame you can barely see. Most sanitizers are made with alcohol, a fuel that burns extremely cleanly. Unlike wood or candle wax, burning alcohol doesn’t release glowing soot particles, which means the flame gives off heat but very little visible light. This makes the flame almost invisible to the naked eye.
