Military budget in 2025 is one trillion dollars.

Back in 2016, there 150 million registered firearms.
An estimated 180 million unregistered firearms.
Even if you did beat the US Military and attempt invasion of the United States, it would be a very daunting task.
Let's be conservative with estimates. Let's say 1% of the gun wielding population fights.
That is a 3 million manpower resistance across that massive amount of land, with homefield advantage.
That number is honestly going to be higher when you contemplated our population. Most families have veterans who have already served or will at minimum defend their own home.
Couple that with the US government ability to re-up (bring back into service) former military personnel.
Invasion of the United States will more than likely result in higher than 60% casualties of any force making the attempt.
Success would only bring highly lethal guerrilla warfare.
Effectively the best course any nation can do against the US is wait for us to lose interest or spur the people into civil conflict.
While we are divided we are…wishy washy. When United, its better to comply.
Few things. Retired joint qualified Army officer here. 1. All our public numbers are off by 5-30% depending on platform and they never use what we have in test and experimental development. 2. Our inventories are much more vast than also listed and like you said as we clear old inventory we will replace it with newest. 3. Amateurs study tactics and equipment. Professionals study logistics. Our logistics and manufacturing capabilities are much more vast and intact. We can out patience most enemies in most situations. Starve you out. Wait until fuel and ammo is gone. Bomb you to death all day everyday for as long as we want. Then attack. 4. Finally our average NCO is on par or better than officers of other countries. We also legitimately care down to the worst recruit and we absolutely believe in it up and down the chain of command and our veterans. 5. Bonus bit, our geography is the luckiest on earth. Not only can we defend it. Not only will it feed and give us drink near infinitely. We have over 200mil gun owners, some with impressive arsenals of their own and over 400mil guns out there. Good luck in the Appalachians, or the desert, or the Arctic, or the tropics. All bionomes we have.
