6k /mo does NOT got far for 2ppl . Esp since the rate of inflation means the actual value is a mere 4K . Esp if u live in the northeast.
Realistically if your 400k portfolio is generating $100,000 dividends you'd only be able to spend about $32,000 or 8% on the portfolio value to avoid significant nav erosion over time I would think?
Any dividends from your RRSP would be taxed if you use them? I have my tfsa maxed out and nowhere near the portfolio value you have. You must have managed 200% gains?
What is 'TFSA' and 'RRSP'? Where can we see your portfolio? Are there US equivalents to your Canadian holdings? Thanks, congrats!
