Love you man, love you all here. Let’s not forget humans have love for each other and it’s ok to let out this emotion whether you’re family or not. I relate to this song in a total different way. My dad wasn’t around he was an alcoholic bastard. So this song brings up sadness yes but also anger for me. But I personally had my own similar struggles with drugs and alcohol so I do understand him a little better. Difference is I’ve always been around for my kids. I know this is a rant, but damn this got me. You’re such a beautiful person thank you for this. You to Mr James. This song helped me grieve in a way
I think this song is not only emotional to those who had a good relationship with a parent but also to those who didn't. You mourn for the loss of what you could have, should have had and it's a devastating realization.
