In a report that originally aired on “CBS Sunday Morning” November 22, 1998, correspondent Rita Braver talked with Internet entrepreneurs (including Zip2 co-founder Elon Musk, Digital Bitcasting owner Peter Dougherty, and Cypress Semiconductors CEO T.J. Rodgers) about competing against tech giant Microsoft, which was then engaged in a fight with the U.S. government over the company’s hold on the software market.

Microsoft's days are numbered, whether you know it or not. Gabe Newell is one step away from turning gamers away from Windows forever with a Steam Machine powered by a new Steam OS…and when that happens, thanks to the inroads made by the Steam Deck, then I see half their market splitting off. Windows will always be used for business, but Steam OS will take everything else.
If you own the operating system you own the operation!
2:41 – Didn't this guy own the San Francisco Giants? I recognize that bowtie!
He looks younger now. Crazy what hair can do
I remember how netScape was a rare thing
But I was way too young and not educated what computers really were alla bout
Elon started in his garage, just like Bill Gates did and Steve Jobs, they all started with one apple in a garage. They are not "deep state" projects at all!
annoying static in background
Crazy how much the world can change and you just don't know anything about it because your parents told you it was stupid, so you thought it was stupid
It was the late 90’s and everyone was in chat rooms.
man musk was already spearheading internet fairness from the very beginning. that consistency is admirable.
