🎙️ Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin IV | Full Album Reaction & Favorites Discussion

In this episode, we dive into *Led Zeppelin IV*—the untitled 1971 masterpiece that blends mythic storytelling, blues grit, and hard rock power. Vito and Aigerim explore the album’s iconic moments, from the thunderous “Black Dog” to the ethereal journey of “Stairway to Heaven.”

With no official title and no band name on the cover, this record speaks entirely through its music—an ambitious, genre-defying statement that helped define rock’s golden era. Whether you’re here for the riffs, the mysticism, or the sheer sonic force, *Led Zeppelin IV* is a timeless experience.

  1. The Korean actress Park Shin Hye made a television serial in South Korea called Stairway to Heaven with this song. This was when she was young. Its not plagiarism if its copied from of their own music. I don't believe this music is copied from other artists. This is genuine Led Zeppelin music.

  2. Get high if you want to understand the age this music was made for.
Back in the day I was in my teens, this was music to get high to. Friday night driving down no traffic country roads smoking weed with the 8 track cranked. Back when cars came with radios with one speaker and adding an 8 track with 4 speakers was a teenagers way of escaping the parents and having their own space.
BTW back when Jimmy Paige put the band together they were looking for a name for the band, they were discussing something that had gone wrong and someone said "that went down like a led zepplin"
a way of describing something not working, as a led zepplin would obviously would not fly.
That is how they got their name not really trying.

  3. I want to refer to a comment in the video and mention the fact, that Led Zeppelin never tried to meet any expections. So it is not right to assume they felt to add some Rockn ´ Roll titles to this album. I read a lot about Jimmy Page and learned to know, how important it was for him to feel free to follow the development of music of Led Zeppelin in their own manner. He made sure by contract with Atlantic Records, that the music was under his/ the bands control and not under the labels control. He added a far out weird drum/guitar/bow solo into Whole Lotta Love in order to avoid a hit Single. He always wanted to create something new instead of repeating a successful song. They never tried to create hits, they always did the music they wanted to. I think this is an important feature of Led Zeppelin, which I admire them for and which makes them so outstanding.

  4. You'll hear we boomers go on and on about "our music is better than yours." But that's just an opinion. It's not a fact. What is a fact is that the 70's music was more dynamic. You observed that "Stairway To Heaven" was like 3 songs. That's because of the dynamics. The song began slowly, then became another song (kind of) and then Zep brough the song back home with intensity and ended it quietly. Zep, and progressive rock bands, would use 4/4, 5/4, 7/8, etc. Those are dynamics. Another fact is "modulation." Modulation is using more than one key. Most rock songs are in the key of E. Zep and all those bands during that time would explore several different key changes in their music. Great channel! Enjoy your journey!
