Currently, Google charges a hefty fees of 11-26% from every in-app purchases that users make.

According to CEO of Matrimony, “Google should not be left unchecked as it is a real threat to Indian digital startups. What has annoyed Indian startups is that we cannot pay 11-26% commissions to Google and still run a profitable business. Then, there is the issue of the Indian government losing revenue because the entire tranche of the money goes to Google. These are the real issues facing digital startups”.

  1. It is a usual thing for famous businesses to charge fee, at last they didn't start their business for charity they also have to earn, how is google a culprit here if startups can't create something with good margin, moreover if startups are using google's brand name and platform to sell their items they need to pay the cost google burnt to create their brand name

In similar way Amazon flipkart mantra everyone charges the fees, and once these startups get to a good level they themselves will charge hefty fees for advertisements and other things so it is in no way wrong
