We are known as New Zealanders. This name was given to our land by Abel Tasman in the 1700s. People know where New Zealand is but this gaslighting and social engineering by various powers at be to call our country aotearoa is wrong ,this name did not come into existence untill the turn of this century .
So please hellofutureme we are New Zealanders or if you prefer Kiwis. We are not aotearoanians and never will be, so, get your facts right please.

European settler treatment of Maori has historically been utterly abhorrent to the point of occasionally bordering on genocide. I hope future videos on Aotearoa don't sanitise the rape, murder and theft inflicted upon Maori people.
one small correction: te-ika-te awa Maui doesn't mean the fish hook of Maui it means the fish of Maui cause according to myth Maui pulled the fish out of the ocean when fishing with his brothers who were jealous of him (the fish hook was his grandmother's jaw bone same as in moana) and it has its mountains because when Maui went back to their village the brothers hacked up the fish
