I'm a kiwi. Te reo maori is not what I was taught at school. Its a modern version of the language. Maori also wernt the frist here that's just what they want you to belive.
People dont tell you maori were cannibalistic
"Aotearoa" was never a name that maori used for anything. It's from a myth about a "great navigator".
They knew all the ocean currents too

Honestly really sad you didn't talk too much about the REAL inhabitants of Aotearoa, the endemic birds both extant and extinct.
You did mention them but the way you talked about them made them seem as nothing more then an easy resource waiting to be used by humans and just that.
Note: Aotearoa also refers to just the North Island
