Affiliate Marketing is and has been the new word for an MLM, previously know as a pyramid scheme for a long time. Think Mary Kay, Norwex or Organo. They all refer to it as affiliate marketing now as well.
Former MLM, current anti MLM member here. I can confirm their main focus is selling you “the dream” and once you’ve been sold the top person, aka the person who recruited all those other members beneath them, will host a zoom meeting telling everyone how they have to focus on recruiting more and more members. Sure some of the focus is on the product of the brand you got recruited into, but 90% of the income generated comes from you recruiting people and those people recruiting people. And as part of your “initiation” you’re required to purchase a whole kit of products meanwhile the chances of you making that money back are slim to none. The only person really making income is the top person in the pyramid because they have all those people underneath them doing all the work for them. It is indeed a scam. I could go on and on. Everyone I explain this to I always tell him I joined an MLM so you don’t have to.
so realistic I scrolled
You can absolutely fake being rich

Nobody ever brags about how rich they are unless they are there to steal your money.
The real income strategy is scamming people lol
This needs to be said again and louder 😂 and again. And again. I’ve never tried affiliate marketing but I know some folks who have.
