Let me explain. First, whatever happened between 1500-1530, mainly between Babur, Lodhis and Rajputs, is recorded in the history books of this period. Such as Persian (Tarikh-i-Dawoodi) (Tarikh-i-Shershahi), some Jain and local sources, and the most detailed "Baburnama". However, we do not get the viewpoint of the Lodhis or Rajputs. Though Rajput sources are available, they do not contain any contemporary autobiographies or personal writings, as the tradition of Rajput rulers relied more on oral stories and poems. These oral traditions were later written down in the form of khātyātis, genealogies and poems, but these were mostly compiled in the later period (17th-18th century).
This means that there is no written Rajput source from the time of Rana Sanga (1520s) that is as contemporary and primary as the Baburnama. "Or at least none that I could find." Other documents give no details other than the Battle of Panipat.
Now we are left with only an autobiography "Baburnama" that tells who Babur was, where he came from, the Battle of Panipat, the Battle of Khanwa, and many other battles that Babur fought before or after.
Now, on whether the Rajputs played any role in inviting Babur to Delhi, there is a mention in the Baburnama: Autobiography of Babur, in which he states that Rana Sanga sent an emissary to Kabul to encourage him to invade India.
: Babur writes – While we were at Kabul, Rana Sanga sent an envoy to express his best wishes and proposed this plan: 'If the Honorable Emperor comes to Delhi, I will proceed to Agra.'" (Baburnama, translated by Annette Susanna Beveridge, pp. 520-529). :
I didn't name Rana Sanga in the video, but said "Rajput" because to understand history you have to see it from everyone's point of view. Now since we don't have any contemporary source that can show the Rajputs' point of view, I didn't name Rana Sanga for his bravery and respect. So that no one feels bad. But even if I had taken his name, there would have been no wrong in it, because we have proof.(Baburnama)
So be kind and be rational, history is not easy to understand, many documents have been destroyed. We are forced to rely on what is available. Read and understand. And if you don't have that much time, 🎉subscribe.🎉
Remember this, thank you 🫡
