How did the American Civil War Actually Happen? (Part 1) – From 1819 to 1861
How did the American Civil War Actually Happen? – American Civil War – Part 1
1819. The newly-born United States of America sat in a state of delicate balance. 11 free states, and 11 slave states. From the outside looking in, it appeared to be perfect harmony. Equal states, equal representation, and equal influence in federal affairs.

Isn’t it hypocritical of the United States to use the Dred Scott, Bidwell and others, collectively called The Insular Cases to deny Puerto Rico Constitutional Rights citing the Constitution doesn’t follow the Flag and that Puerto Rico is “Foreign in a Domestic Sense” because Puerto Ricans, at the time, was said by SCOTUS to be populated by a “Savage”, “Truly Alien Race” that doesn’t have the capacity “to understand the Rights & Privileges of the Constitution”. The Cases were last used by Congress in 2019 before SCOTUS. Pres. Obama, Bush, Biden, Trump all refused to denounce the Insular Cases as Prejudiced and Harmful to the 3 million US citizens in Puerto Rico.
It WAS NOT a civil war. In a civil war, one side is a country and the other side is insurgents. This was a war between two countries. The Confederate States of America had a Constitution, a duly elected president, Congress, and Senate, an army and navy and every other thing that constitutes a country. Therefore, the United States of America UNLAWFULLY INVADED The Confederate States of America. Please get this basic fact correct.
What a morally grotesque and paradoxical phrase: “State’s Rights”: The right to enslave human beings. “We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal and that they endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.* [* Except if you are black or indigenous.] What reprehensible and twisted reasoning: “We have a right to slaves because we need them.”
Average people did not own slaves. They were owned by a minority of wealthy landed gentry. It is mind boggling that average people and poor people were willing to die for supporting the life style of the privileged and dominant wealthy class. Human history is a seemingly endless horrific spectacle of power, greed, brutality, slaughter and injustice. There is a quote from a well known historian (whose name eludes me). “We learn from history than man learns nothing from history.” 🤮
Thank you for that informative, enlightening and well organized high quality presentation.

The lost of the South is the reason why the black peoples don’t work since 1865
Lee wasn't a general at Harpers Ferry
liar.. there were so many more dynamics to what started the Civil war… in fact, Lincoln could not mention slavery when the war started, because it would not have had the support in the north… always trying to make this bad purchase from Africa, a large part of our history…. the juice was never worth the squeeze, with African slaves… Asians were enslaved aa well, but yet they are strong now and whine less…
