See, I understand this argument at Etsy is too expensive, but once you buy a domain and you buy the assets and you spend the money on the advertising, and you hire people to help you code the store if you need it or are you hire people to create your storefront, but especially the advertising … you’re gonna end up spending far more what you spend on Etsy. The exposure that you can get on Etsy bar none is without compare. I made $60,000 in my first year on Etsy. I really don’t think that that would’ve happened if I had my own website.

Such good advice, I’ve taken the plunge and am building my own e-commerce website with Wix, I do have a background in tech but for others having someone to help maybe necessary, it is an outlay but the independent feeling is great. Keeping it simple will be difficult for me but will try ! After using many online craft sites such a relief, so glad you don’t promote Etsy, I had to fight to get paid, which is concerning. One big expense to consider, I had to buy a bigger 16 RAM laptop which is necessary for building a website but its really quick now. Thank you so much, ❤
