How much wire is required at an outlet box? Today I’ll show you in this short video what the NEC requires for wire at an outlet box. How much from inside the box, how much outside the box and how much wire sheath must extend inside the box.
Please note that an outlet as defined by NEC is a point on the wiring system at which current is taken to supply utilization equipment. So not only at a receptacle which is commonly know as an “outlet”.

Good practice is to connect a receptacle so that removing the receptacle will not interrupt the supply to the rest of the circuit. That means you provie a pigtail to the receptacle. If you were an electrician working for me and wired a receptacle in the way you demonstrated, you would not be paid until that was fixed.
This is helpful. Thanks
I seen wires so short I had to pigtail
With all that wire how did you get it all pushed into the box and still have room for the receptacle?
Hello Man! Can provide your phone number?
Loop it outside of box, you will always have enough for any changes
pig tail, ALWAYS.
easier maintenence
Horrible installation for a German electrician. Screw terminals. 😂😂
Plastic or nylon boxes should NEVER be used. Always use metal. Save the environment, better grounding, and keeps steel workers jobs.
