Welcome to episode 3 of 𝗱𝗷𝗮𝘆 school – your guide for djay, the world’s number 1 DJ app.

To use an iPhone or iPad with your DJ hardware, first check if it’s compatible with iOS devices by referring to the DJ Gear page on the Algoriddim website.

For iPhone, we recommend the Apple Lighting to USB 3 Camera Adaptor.
Connect your DJ hardware to the adaptor with a USB cable,
and connect the lightning end of the adaptor to your iPhone.
Your compatible hardware will detect 𝗱𝗷𝗮𝘆 automatically
The lightning port on the adaptor can be used to power your iPhone while in use.

This adaptor can also be used for iPad’s released before 2018 but for newer iPads with a USB-C port, we recommend Apple’s USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adaptor.
Again, connect your DJ hardware to the adaptor with a USB cable
and connect the USB-C end of the adaptor to your iPad.
You can also charge your iPad at the same time via the dedicated USB-C port on the adaptor.
