Guys, you do this ONCE, and then no never again unless you buy another cast iron. How many times do you wash your other pans?

why blur the brands?
flaxseed oil polymerizes way to efficiently , do not use flaxseed, this will make the season brittle and flake off. olive oil is fine
Soap?? I thought you’re not supposed to wash it because it destroys the pan
I was at first cleaning my skillet every time I used it, (mild fruit wash and paper towels) and re-oiling it before storing it, now I just leave it on the stove after cooking, the only “cleanup” I do now is just a quick wipe with a paper towel. I will wash it on occasion but it just sits in the stove when not in use. I will never go back to Teflon pans. Everything comes out so much better and now that I just wipe it, my skillet hardly requires anything at all. There is a bit of a learning curve but you will fairly quickly find what works and will be making very tasty meals.
