i followed the steps and set the pan upside down in the oven just like the video mentioned and a fire started in the oven…
No need to use cast iron anymore. Ya was fine way back in the late 1890’s on a ranch or grandma’s house when that was all you had. Modern frying pans have the same durability, oven safe, high searing ability. 100% non stick. And minimal maintenance. Cast is higher maintenance than the Kardashians!!!
My takeaway: Loving a cast iron pot is like loving a good woman.
Ghee for seasoning all day. Most other oils are poisonous.
