Give the top a good sanding… Your shoes will thank you! Alternatively a thin application of something like Sole-Saver, Shoe Goo or super glue will also work with various levels of success.

Been skating since 1999, and I haven’t gripped a board yet. I also mall grab. I know how to put every piece together, just never actually did a grip tape job.
I was just applying the paper and I scratched it a bit where I didn't want to and here, at the very end, the guy ran all over the paper 😀 It makes me feel better 🙂
Dont punch holes with the screwdriver, just puncture it enough for the screw to come through itself. Then, puncture it completely with the screw graphic side down. Otherwise youll rip your tape up.

I never understand why other skates like less grippy tape. Just get some Jesse up grip or Dimond grip. Both of those brands are mid grippy. Doesnt take for the grip to break in, compared to mob and grizzly. It takes a few sessions to break in those grips. 😂 if you dont like As grippy griptapes. Just get jesse up or Dimond grip. No need to waste the grip on mob and Grizzly. 😂😂😂 they are perfect, compared to any other griptape brands.
