  1. Very nice video and great job on the house. But the colored lights around the windows and on a few of the plants/shrubs do not feel retro or make me think of the colored lights back in the day- and the reason for that is because the old school lights were incandescent. They gave off an unmistakably warm, amber glow. The LED lights don't look anything like that, as they give off a cool glow. But I'm not even sure "glow" is the right word. The LED bulbs themselves are bright. But they really don't provide an illumination to the area the way incandescent lights do. Also, the LED blues are more violet, and the old school incandescent lights did not have violet. In fact, old school incandescent lights had very few blue bulbs in a strand whereas these LEDS have quite a bit of blue/violet. So for as pretty as it is, it's not a real call back to the old days.

The "net strands" are super easy because as you noted, you just have to lay it across a surface and do minimal tucking here and there. But there is no way around it, they always look like a net strand when lit up in the dark. Bushes look so much better and magical when strands are woven in and out of the bush. It always gives it more depth.

But very good job on using a single color of white light in the spots you chose. It makes me crazy driving past a house where there is a strand of LED cool whites right next to a strand of LED warms or incandescent whites. It always looks awful. Buyer beware- LED cool whites are very bright, very sterile and do not feel Christmasy whatsoever.
