Making clay is not that hard. Not too long ago it was part of most potters jobs to dig and process all the clay they used. Yet today it is almost a lost art. In this video I show you 3 methods for making clay at home, simply and easily.

My FFA teacher was very clear that dirt is what’s on your kitchen floor and soil is what the grass is growing in outside… 😊
For a clay eater like me who has Pica.. this video is delicious!
Aww, I wanted to see what you made from that clay but I’m excited to make my own clay. Thank you!!
Have an adventure like you are when we go out looking for clay?¿?¿?
Uuumm🥴
That's me on a daily basis
when
N🚫T out looking for clay…Or anything else, for that matter…
😁✌🏼
picks up 💩 Now this some good clay
Hey just noticed you said 20% is a 1:4 ratio but its actually 1:5. 1:4 is 25%. I dont know if it really matters lol but justmjn case it does. Thanks for making this video my son and I enjoyed it,
It's not just "dirt", still, nice video.
is that 16 hundrenths of an inch?
In my yard there's nearly pure clay under 6" of top soil. Its awful.
Just dirt? Mmmmm, well–sort of. You're skipping about ten million years of other rambunctious processes.
True clays are rock & mineral particulates dissembled at their source by the various forces of erosion, then combined with sediments of aeolian dust and organic plant & animal detritus, transported and deposited by stream & river water, and all compacted by gravity & time.
