I was taught to use middle, ring and pinky for the A chord.
Im 61 yrs old and just starting to learn guitar. Ive been following the free justin guitar tutorials on youtube and doing the 1 min chord change challenge. Im struggling with the A to D chord change . Im finding it hard ti get my short fat fingers in the second fret at the same time causing a lot of dead strings. Its frustrating. Does anybody have any tips for us ole guys and our stiff joints lol
I hated trying to play A like this, and the other 3 finger option as well. So I mostly just play it with 1 finger now. Think its escalated the arthritis in my top finger joint though..
My biggest issue is trying not to mute the first string
