How does one replace the rotted subfloor under the outer wall framing?
FUN!!! LIES!!! 😂😂😂😂
pressure treated wood should not be used "indoors" crawlspace is considered that, we learned this in sweden in the early 70's. but i know US still use treated wood for sills 🙁
It seems nobody ever starts these videos from the beginning, or maybe they assume removing floor board to get to the subfloor is too straightforward to bother mentioning. Still, I would rather go into removing the floor boards with confidence and tips, cuz i aint getting to the subfloor until the top layer is off. These videos always start with the top layer already off, and if i search for how to remove top layer, i always end up back to videos about the sub floor.
Good video…. To remove old nails / screw I use a 4.5" hand grinder with a thin steel cutting blade. I would apply plastic barrier under the floor (on the damp ground surface) and hold it down with a few pails of round 1/2-3/4" gravel (also called river stone gravel). Instead of using glue I use PL Premium – which expands when it fries and holds much better than white carpenters glue. Do this task before covering the floor. Other then these tips, great video. You are good teachers!
