Clicked on this video because it looks like the microwave I need to take out because right out of warranty it's dead
Ope,, just gonna squeeze by ya there an measure the tap from the stovetap from the bottom to the tap there.
Oh yeah, then gonna just unbax the new on from the tap down there.
Protip if its a Samsung microwave keep the tools in the overhead cabinet for faster replacement the following month. All samsung appliances are nothing less than junk.
What do you do if you have to drill new holes on the bottom of the cabinet for support and the old ones are in the way?
I've installed thousands of microwaves, I have some comments.
1) take the knobs off the stove so you don't accidentally turn the cooktop on while you're doing the install and burn the blanket onto the stovetop
2) always take the new appliance out of the box to inspect for damages before removing the old one
3) do not put your toggle holes in the a & b shaded area holes. Mark those holes, put your toggle holes somewhere else. Holes a&b are your guide, they they should line up with the bracket
4) I usedfiller blocks of wood maybe 1/1000 installs, very unlikely that you need them and they make it more difficult to install the mounting screws
Thanks Lowe's for a great detailed video. Now Ill go buy one from Lowe's.
8:25 That made no sense to me. If you are going to remove those cut-out parts in the back of the microwave then should you rotate the blower in the exact opposite direction so the fan outlets are actually facing the holes instead of inside of the microwave?
This video change my entire life
Wow. I'm glad he told me to unplug the old one. I would've never thought of that
And get ready to do it again in a year if you buy a Samsung. Because they don’t last. That’s the same one I bought a year ago and now I’m installing a new one.
