What if you have to replace the cutoff valve, when I shut my eyes off it leaks a little bit.
There are different wax and no-wax rings but all will fail after the toilet inevitably gets loose from the wax ring compressing and/or the toilet rocking a bit over time. Re-tightening bolts is not the best idea. A better solution is to lexel the front and sides of the toilet to the floor. Use painters tape around the toilet base and on the floor to make a nice line before applying lexel. Remove the tape and let it dry. Toilet will not rock and the wax ring should seal better over time.
👏👏👏 so helpful!!
Im so glad I watched this…. A company was gonna charge me $872 to do this when I knew all of these parts were under $300
The bolts that hold to tank to the bowl need to be longer as its tough to push them through the holes with the grommets and the silicon gasket needs to be placed on the ring first as it falls off when you lower the bowl into position.
I've never thought or heard of a water solidifier. That is so smart!
Thank you, I could not figure out why there was a black peace on the wax seal. Watch the video for it and you showed it perfectly.
