Spatchcock turkey is a great way to prepare a turkey for the Holidays. Spatchcocking a turkey helps the turkey cook more evenly than a traditional turkey, it cooks quicker than an upright turkey since the breast is closer to the cooking grate and it presents beautifully on the table.

Im doing a 19lb turkey this way for Thanksgiving for the first time ever. Very nervous very excited
We need to be able to buy that brine by the pound this time of year
I’ve got 50 birds to cook and I want to use your brine but i need to buy it bigger quantities
Oh no!!!!
What do i do?
I did buy a 22 lbs turkey already!!!
What do you recomend?
Has anyone done deer ribs before?? Uncle got lucky this year and gave me a rib.
I love y’all but… inject ya damn turkey’s people!
4 sticks of butter
1 can of beer
~1/4 cup of MC Holy Voodoo (or your favorite MC BBQ rub)
Let it cool, then inject turkey, wrap in saran wrap, and let it sit overnight.
Its one extra step but I promise you it will be the best turkey of your life,
Great video have been doing this for a few years now and love it. And dang that drink looked good am going to have to search out the ingredients.
Matt, my wife I have up-ed my game with your recipes, techniques & products! I schooled under Steve Raichlien for 2 years to get myself seriously skilled! Now, my wife & our friends say our adult night feedings have something to really look forward to! This time of year, you are getting hammered for recopies & a video performance, but, one half a video in the future, would you please tour us around your BBQ supply store? If I lived closer, I would be in your store once every 2 weeks to see what is new & endorsed by you! Big Wicks Sauces, Meat Mitch's Womp Sauce, Rib Candy & Brushfire Farms products have elevated my offerings to our guests! Your guest chefs Dale, James Vives & Malcom have plenty of skill & application of skills to provoke me to do more than I had been doing! Most of my guests do not want to put in the time you & I do into this. They sure like the product & eating experience! They know to come "very hungry"! It makes their wives prod them a bit when they get home.
Why wouldn’t she spatchcock at first?
This is clickbait. I’m sure the end product is great but this info isn’t revolutionary. Basically, the same process as many others (wet brine, seasoning, incorporation of butter, rest) except with more product promoting.
I do this every year but I use deez nuts and the family love it. I brine for 3 days and the cook on a 26 lbs turkey is 4.5 hours.
