If you’re new here, I’m The Angry Explainer. My dream, and my one mission in life, was to prove I could excel academically despite my past failures.

  1. 1. Try box breathing: breath in for 4 seconds, hold, breathe out for 4 seconds, hold
    2. Use fidget tools: squeezing a squish ball , fidget cubes & background noise – soft instrumental music/ white noise. Noise cancelling headphones
    3. Distraction free zone: no phone , outta sight outta mind. Computer: block addictive websites . Tell every1 to leave you alone, no chats . Dont sit near window, sit facing blank wall. Clear desk. No trinkets
    4. Schedule: everyday study, dont let chores distract you. Short study sessions
    5. Short term goals with deadlines: get specific – clear targets , fake deadlines . 5 minute breaks every 30 mins, dont leave til ur done
    6. Move while you study: physical movement gives brain push – pacing while you read aloud , stand up and walk around
    7. Sit in front of the class
    8. Use visual aids: diagrams, mindmaps, colour coded notes. Ditch the notebook, use whiteboard
