I’m not a jeweler but could see the difference between them right away. 😅 Maybe it’s harder if you don’t see them side by side.
It is more of a fashion gemstone..not fake,comparing with a real diamond is unfair and unjustified.

Why would the edges be less sharp?
Diamonds are overrated rocks. Might be great for industrial use, but for bling-bling…save some cash and get CZ which looks just as good
