Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this knot called a half Windsor knot there is also a full Windsor that eliminates the offset of the tie when looking at the tie in the close up shot it looks a bit lopsided there is one that evens that out and makes it look more professional and proportional. Hence the full Windsor knot granted both look fine just would elevate that a bit. Video is great I’m 29 and been tying ties since I was like 12 there’s a lot of cool looks you can do with different knot styles. Should look some up as it might be a cool segment for people to see🙂
I learned from my dad really early on how to tie a tie, mostly because I loved knots as a kid. Before debate club or jazz band in high school, everyone would form a queue and I'd tie all their ties. By the end of the year, most of the upperclassmen had the knots down, and I was always proud of them. I guess I had big uncle energy even in high school. But seeing people get the hang of something hitherto mysterious is an amazing feeling.
From a single mom, whose son is now 21, I remember struggling so hard the first time I had to teach him to tie a tie. Thank you so much for this video.
