I actually really like the approach of this video. A philosophy of soups, with a specific take on it (being the recipe presented). It really helps to break it down into it's components, and learn how to scale and where and how I might want to play with the recipe to make /my/ take on it.
I watched this while heating up my defrosted tomato soup, made very much like this from my summer tomatoes. 🙂
